About our Pottery

Diane Berglund is a very diversified talent. She is a singer/songwriter, has done sculpting, water colors and now pottery. Diane started working with clay four years ago and, as she does with everything she touches, has given functional pottery her own special artistic twist.

Each piece begins with a design Diane makes on a wet clay slab with some of the cameo and intaglio relief impressions she collects. You can find sea fans, coral, shells, plumeria, jasmine, maples, ferns, palms, heavenly bamboo, cactus, cedar, horsetail, Mayan glyphs and other impressions combined in different pieces.

Diane hand forms the slab into a unique vessel shape and bisque fires it before applying its exterior finish and lead-free porcelain interior glaze.

We consider ourselves fortunate to have exclusive internet rights to her work. In addition to stand alone sculptures, her pieces can safely be used as liquid containers or flower vases.

Because each piece is a unique vessel, we do not take custom orders. However you may find something you like in our priced pottery inventory.
